The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has been drawn to a press release posted on the Commission’s website on August 12, 2014 in which the photograph of one Mr. Mansur Danlami of the First Bank of Nigeria Plc Hadejia Branch, Jigawa State, was published as a suspect in the N661million Union Bank Fraud case.

We have since found that there was a mix-up in the course of uploading the press release, and Danlami’s photograph was inadvertently used. The said photograph has been withdrawn.

We regret any embarrassment that the publication may have caused Danlami and his family.

Nevertheless, Mr. Mansur Danlami remains a suspect in a case of ATM fraud at the Zoo Road Branch of First Bank Plc in Kano, involving N5.1million, which is being investigated by the Commission
