Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa has called on youths across the country to uphold the values of integrity, in order to lend their voices to the anti-graft campaign of the Commission. According to him, such values would boost the EFCC's efforts in tackling the menace of youth involvement in economic and financial crimes in the country.
Bawa gave the charge on May 22, 2023, through, Deputy Director, Creative Engagements, DCE Nwayinma Okeanu at the launch of an Integrity Club at Nature-Nurtured Basic Academy, Chukuku, Kuje, Abuja.
According to him,
"The EFCC is going about talking to young people because Nigeria belongs to you and depends on you. If you look around, you will see that the older generations are phasing out and the country would undoubtedly be yours. So for you to rule this nation, you must be upright, be of good character and uphold integrity, be honest and sincere in all your endeavours in order to keep the nation going, "she said.
Bawa further admonished them to steer clear of embezzlement, stealing, cyber crimes, examination malpractices and any other form of crime and criminality.
Speaking earlier, the Director of Studies and Proprietor of the school, Mrs. Bethel Ojobo thanked the management and staff of the EFCC for the initiative capable of instilling good behaviour on youths. She particularly stressed that educational institutions and schools are the best environments where positive things can be communicated and translated directly into the minds of the youths.
