Residents of Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital on Thursday, July 11, 2019 turned out in large numbers for the commemoration of the 3rd African Anti-corruption Day organised by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The event which started at exactly 7:45am has in attendance, members of the National Youth Corp, Nigerian Immigration Service, Nigerian Custom Service, Federal Road Safety Corp, National Union of Road Transport Workers, Road Transport Employee Association of Nigeria, Non Governmental Organisations among others. Addressing the stakeholders, the Ilorin Zonal Head of the Commission, Mr Isyaku Sharu, urged the people to partner with the anti-graft body in the ongoing efforts to recover the stolen assets. "The high level panel on illicit financial flow shows that African Continent is losing in excess of $50 billion yearly through illicit financial outflows”, he said.
