Siblings Extradited To U.S. Over Child Exploitation, Sextortion

The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, on Sunday, August 13, 2023, facilitated the extradition of Samuel Ogoshi and his brother, Samson, to the United States of America, to face prosecution for sexually extorting numerous young men and teenage boys in the Western District of Michigan and across the U.S.
The Commission had, sometime in May, 2023, initiated the extradition proceedings at the Federal High Court, Abuja Judicial Division, against the Ogoshis alongside one Ezekiel Ejemeh Robert over exploitation of minors and production of pornography, following a request by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.

The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulkarim Chukkol has warned relatives and friends of politically exposed persons on the danger of being accomplice to money laundering.
The EFCC boss who spoke through the Acting Commander of the Ibadan Zonal Command, ACE I Halima Mustafa Rufa’u, at a workshop organized by the Commission for journalists in Ibadan, Oyo State on Thursday, August 10, 2023, warned that family members and friends of politicians and other political office holders risk going to jail if they allowed their companies or bank accounts to be used to launder proceeds of illegal activities.
Ilorin NBA Visits EFCC, Pledges Support for Fight Against Corruption

The Ilorin Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, led by its Chairman, Barrister Kamaldeen Gambari on Monday, August 7, 2023, visited the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, with a pledge to support the Commission’s fight against corruption.
According to Gambari, “the EFCC and the NBA are partners in progress” as far as the fight against corruption was concerned. “We are particularly glad that the Zonal Commander is part of us in the legal profession”, he added.
Anti-graft War: Kaduna NBA Pledges Support to EFCC

The Kaduna State Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA has pledged its support and assistance to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in furtherance of the fight against corruption in Nigeria. Barrister Godwin Ochai, Chairman of the branch, stated this on Thursday, August 10, 2023, during a visit to the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Commission.
According to Godwin, “the EFCC and the NBA are partners in progress” as far as the fight against corruption was concerned, and also commended the Legal and Prosecution Department of the Command for the co-operation received so far.
Court Sends Banker, Eight Internet Fraudsters to Prison in Benin City

Andrew Nwadiashi a 40 year-old banker and eight internet fraudsters were on Friday, August 4, 2023, convicted and sentenced to prison by Justice M. Itsueli of the Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City.
The others are Osawa Marvellous, Etinosa Ogieva, Erharruyi Osaigbovo, Isaac Godstime Eghosa, Obasohan Kelvin, Evans Jessa Mike, Timothy Odion and Festus Efe Iyengunmwena.
