Internet Fraud: Court Issues Production Warrant against Naira Marley

Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday , October 5, 2023, issued a production warrant against Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley.
Naira Marley is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on 11-count charges bordering on conspiracy and credit card fraud.
Court Convicts One of Internet Fraud in Kaduna

Justice N.U. Sadiq of the Kaduna State High Court sitting in Kaduna has convicted and sentenced one Miracle Ezeochia to two years imprisonment on one count of cheating by impersonation brought against him by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The convict got into trouble when the Command received an intelligence report regarding the suspicious activities of some individuals suspected to be Internet fraudsters in Kaduna. He was subsequently arrested in a sting operation.
EFCC Arrests 33 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Benin City

Operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 arrested 33 suspected internet fraudsters at their hideout in Benin City.
Those arrested are Timothy Odion, Destiny Otokhune, Bright Akhabue, Isaac Eghosa, Philip Anderson, Kennedy Osagie, Kabiru Mohammed, Erharuyi Osaigbovo, Amalawa Kingsĺey, Obasohen Kelvin, Emmanuel Imuentinyan, Eghosa Osadebamwen, Akhere Destiny, Evans Jesse, Kazeem Samson, Luma Kayode, Festus Iyenfunmwena, Osagie Emmanuel, Chinoso Okoye, Michael Okoh, Yadina Chukwudi, Kelvin Amenze, Aikorogie Osarenmweda and Samuyi Ajayi.
EFCC, Nigeria Immigration Service to Strengthen Collaboration

The Controller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Edo State Command, Comptroller U. Waziri has pledged his support to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in the state.
He disclosed this on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 when he led senior officers of the Service on a courtesy visit to the Benin Zonal Command of the EFCC.

The Port Harcourt Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has inaugurated the EFCC Integrity Club at Merecer International Academy, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Speaking at the event, the Acting Executive Chairman, Abdulkarim Chukkol, charged the students to stay away from corruption. “It can lead you to jail; learn to tell the truth and be good ambassadors as members of EFCC Integrity Club”, he said.
