EFCC Charges Students to Stay Away from Negative Influences

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, charged students and pupils of Friendly Educational Resource, Magcoba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to stay away from negative influences and do the right thing, even when they are not being monitored.
This charge was given in Port Harcourt by the Acting Executive Chairman, Abdulkarim Chukkol at the inauguration of EFCC Integrity Club in the school. He enjoined the students to be role models both at home and in school, and stay away from friends who might lure them into corrupt practices.
Anti-graft War: Bawa Charges CSOs on Collaboration

Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa has charged Civil Society Organisations to strengthen collaboration with anti-graft agencies stressing that, with their closeness to the grassroots they are well positioned to assist the Commission with information that will enhance the fight against corruption in Nigeria.
He stated this on Thursday, March 30, 2023, during an engagement between the Commission and Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, held at the corporate headquarters of the Commission, Abuja. He said such collaboration was imperative as the fight against corruption was not for the EFCC only.
The EFCC boss disclosed that funds recovered by the Commission are being deployed for the completion of some critical infrastructures in the country, including the Lagos-Ibadan and Abuja-Kano Expressway, as well as the construction of the second Niger Bridge.

Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, further adjourned till Thursday, May 4, 2023 for the adoption of final written addresses in relation to the alleged N1.7 billion fraud case involving the Chief Executive Officer of First Nation Airways Limited, Kayode Odukoya.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is prosecuting Odukoya alongside First Nation Airways Limited and Belleview Airlines Limited on a seven-count charge bordering on forgery, use of false document, perjury, stealing and obtaining credit by fraud, contrary to Section 85(1), 86(1), 278(1)&(b), 285(1), 313(1)(a) &(b), 361(1)(a)& (b), 363 (1) and 364(1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.
EFCC Arrests 15 Alleged Internet Fraudsters in Benin City

Fifteen suspected internet fraudsters were on Friday, March 24, 2023, arrested by operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Benin City.
The suspects were arrested in an early morning operation following actionable intelligence on their alleged criminal activities.

The Maiduguri Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, secured the conviction and sentencing of one Iliyas Abba Suleiman before Justice Umaru Fadawu of the Borno State High Court, Maiduguri to a year imprisonment for cheating.
The defendant’s journey to the correctional facility started when the petitioner, Bagana Dunoma alleged that the defendant deceived him to deliver the sum of N700, 000.00 for the supply of food items for distribution at Al-ansar Secondary School, Maiduguri, Borno State.
