Teacher Commends EFCC at Launch of another Integrity Club in Benin

In furtherance of its objectives of getting the youths to take ownership of the fight against corruption, the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, March 17, 2023 inaugurated the EFCC Integrity Club at Imaguero College, Benin City, Edo State.

The Acting Zonal Commander, Nkechi Ude who was represented by Head, Public Affairs, Williams Oseghale urged the students to be exemplary in conduct, character and to make integrity their guide.

According to him, the essence of establishing the Club was to raise future leaders who will uphold the values of integrity, discipline, responsibility, tolerance and patriotism.

He urged the students to be anti-corruption ambassadors in their school, neighbourhood, community and the society at large. "Our slogan is integrity starts with me. Therefore, you must shun any acts that negate integrity. Our vision is to build a generation of young Nigerians with integrity and who are anti-corruption crusaders".

Twenty six students took the oath of service while Deborah Omorodion emerged as President of the Club. In her remarks, Deborah commended the Commission for establishing the Club. "We are happy that we are now part of the EFCC Integrity Club and we promise to lead by example," she said.

Ugiagbe Esosa, a teacher in the school and patron of the Club commended the EFCC for inaugurating the club "I am happy that the EFCC has established the integrity club in our school. It is the foundation for building a new generation, as it will expose the students to the dangers of corruption and how to shun it."
