In its continuous effort to hone the skills of its workforce for impactful performance, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has commenced an intensive training on tax fraud investigation for its officers
The training, which kicked off on Monday, July 18, 2022 at the EFCC Academy, Karu, Abuja, was declared open by the Commandant of the Academy, Commander of the EFCC, CE Ayo Olowonihi. While welcoming all the participants to the Academy, Olowonihi charged them to be open to learning and maximize every opportunity offered by the training by paying attention to every detail.
“This is your Academy, it is where you will be doing your training and retraining. This is part of the instrument that you will need to do your work as you grow up in your career. We are delighted to have you here and I hope you are happy to be here”, he said.
Olowonihi further charged the participants to enjoy trainings stressing, that two things needed in life for success are experience and training. “If you don’t have an experience, you can pick it up from training. You either live through it or you learn it” he said.
Participants, who were drawn from the fourteen Zonal Commands of the EFCC were further urged to participate interactively and share experiences from their various zones while networking with others.
The Training Module covers Tax Fraud Investigation and Risk Management; Excel for Investigators and Analysts, Work Ethics and Integrity, and Personal Development for Middle Managers. 120 officers are participating in the courses.
