NSCDC Assures of Sustained Collaboration with EFCC

The Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Akwa Ibom State Command, Majekodunmi Abidemi, has commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, for promoting inter-agency synergy in the fight against corruption.

Abidemi gave the commendation on Tuesday March 29, 2022, when the Uyo Zonal Commander of the EFCC, ACE-II Bawa Hamidu paid him a courtesy visit. "The partnership between the EFCC and the NSCDC is a very functional one, and we solicit for the bond to continue because no agency can do it alone" said Abidemi.

According to the Commandant, working together and sharing intelligence remains the way forward. "You'll discover that if we take inventory of men and officers of the collective agencies involved, the figure will tell you that there's need to work together because there's more strength in unity," he said.

In his response, the EFCC Zonal Commander ACE-II Bawa Hamidu thanked the NSCDC Commandant for his collaboration and assistance. "We have always had a hitch free working relationship with you, right from your time in Calabar, Cross River State where we met with you for the first time, before your deployment to Akwa Ibom State. Till date, you have continued to show that you are truly a partner in the fight against economic and financial crimes. We truly appreciate the partnership and we're not taking it for granted," said Bawa.
