In its continued efforts in fighting economic and financial crimes in Nigeria, the Kano Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, today September 22, 2021, met with compliance officers of Mobile Telecommunications service providers in Nigeria at its office in Kano.

The meeting was part of efforts to improve the synergy between the Commission and the telecommunications industry.

Speaking at the event, Zonal Commander, Farouq Dogondaji urged the Compliance Officers to enhance their response levels to the Commission’s letters and requests, while further soliciting their support in the fight against corruption and cybercrimes.

In their response, the compliance officers assured the Commission of their unflinching support and building on the existing relationship between the two bodies.

The telecommunication companies represented at the meeting included, Airtel and 9 Mobile.
