Anti-graft War: EFCC Charges Media on Sensitisation

The Head of the Kano Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mualledi Farouq Dogondaji today June 1, 2021 charged members of the media to sensitize the public on the ills of land fraud and other economic and financial crimes.

Dogondaji made the appeal when he received a delegation from Guarantee Radio Kano who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

Dogondaji disclosed that under his leadership, the Zone has created a Land and Property Fraud Section in order to check the incidence of land fraud. He urged radio stations in Kano to complement the Commission’s efforts by educating the public on land related frauds which are very rampant in Kano.

He also called on the media to educate the public on fraudulent investment schemes and ATM-related offenses.

In his remark, the News Manager of Guarantee Radio, Musa Tijjani solicited for the support and partnership of the Commission in order to promote the anti-corruption campaign and inform the public about the dangers of corruption.

He appealed to the Commission to sponsor a programme which will help enlighten the public about the activities of the Commission as well as dangers of corruption.
