Katsina Chief Judge Commends EFCC On Professionalism

The Katsina State Chief Judge, Justice Musa Danladi has lauded the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) for the professionalism of its staff, noting that “The EFCC always comes to court ready with its cases thoroughly investigated.”

Justice Danladi disclosed this on Thursday, September 3, 2020, when the Kano zonal head of the Commission, Sanusi Aliyu Mohammed paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

The professionalism of EFCC’s investigators, the judge said, is evidenced in the fact that throughout his handling of EFCC cases, there was no incident of the Commission’s statement being thrown out in court on account of being obtained under duress, declaring that “EFCC operatives observe global best practices in the course of their duties.”

While assuring the Commission and Mohammed of the cooperation of the state’s judiciary, he urged the EFCC to create a desk office in Katsina for a wider coverage and fast- tracking of corruption cases in the state.
Mohammed, in his remarks, disclosed that the visit was to solicit the support, partnership and guidance of his lordship and the state judiciary in the Commission’s anti-graft war.

“The purpose of our visit is to introduce myself and to seek the support of my lord and his management, their partnership and guidance in the discharge of our duties,” Mohammed said.

The judiciary, Mohammed noted, is a cardinal partner of the EFCC in the administration of criminal justice.
