The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has reiterated the importance of the youths in the fight against corruption, describing them as vital tools in winning the war against the monster.

Magu, who was represented by an officer of the Public Affairs Department, Kaduna Zonal Office, Nana Fatima Abubakar, made the observation during the NYSC 2020, Batch A stream 1, Orientation course lecture, in Kaduna, said the Commission’s robust collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, in the fight against corruption and economic crimes has shown a strong sign of success.

The anti-graft boss who said that the youths are not to be taken for granted in the fight against corruption explained that all hands must be on the deck in sustaining all the methods formulated in fighting the deadly threat of corruption in Nigeria.

Magu enjoined all corps members to take advantage of their service year to join the EFCC - NYSC Community Development Clubs, CDS, group in their various zones to contribute their knowledge and expertise towards the self-sacrificing fight against corruption in order to continuously change the mentality of Nigerians, especially those who may want to perpetrate or conspire to engage in any act of corruption.

He charged the corps members to always see themselves as agents of change by shunning any act capable of inducing them to collect or give bribe for juicy employments, involving in cybercrimes or otherwise, in their various places of primary assignments.
