The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC is set to collaborate with the entertainment industry in order to explore the use of the practitioners in the field to fight corruption.
Those who have signalled interest in the collaboration are: Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Northwest Zone, Arewa Film Makers Association (AFMAN) Kaduna State Chapter, National Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP) and Safety Ambassadors of Nigeria.
Zonal Head Kaduna, Mailafiya Yakubu, who hosted members of the Guild during a courtesy visit said “the fight against corruption is for all of us, because Nigeria belongs to us; as such, we must collectively come together to shun any vices that will hinder the growth or development of our country by supporting the EFCC in the fight against corruption.
Responding on behalf of the visitors, Vice-president of the Guild, Wassh Waziri and Alhaji Musa Usman Zubairu, VP's Patron of the AGN said that they want to use the medium to also act different folklores that will not only entertain but educate Nigerians on the need to support the Ant-corruption fight.
