Justice Dije Abdu Aboki of Kano State High Court on Monday June 24, 2013 convicted and sentenced the trio of Abubakar Sadiq Maigaskiya, Mustapha Buhari, and Tukur Hamisu Gwadabe to different terms of imprisonment for conspiracy and forgery.

The first accused person, Abubakar Sadiq Maigaskiya was sentenced to six month imprisonment on each of the four count charge with option of N150, 000 fine.

The second accused person Mustapha Buhari is to serve one year jail term with option of N150, 000 fine.

On his own part, the third accused person Tukur Hamisu Gwadabe was fined N230, 000 or a year and two months imprisonment.

One of the charges against the accused read; "that you Abubakar Sadiq Maigaskiya, Mustapha Buhari, Haruna Dahiru Bindawa and Tukur Hamisu Gwadabe sometimes in 2012, at Kano within the jurisdiction of High Court of Kano State, did conspire among yourselves to commit an unlawful act to wit; obtaining property by false pretence and you thereby committed an offence punishable under section 1 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006".
