The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday April 25, 2013 arraigned one Abdulazeez Abubakar before Justice Tukur Aliyu Muazu of Kaduna State High Court on one count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust.

Abubakar, a car dealer in Kaduna allegedly collected a Honda car (1998 model) from one Hajiya Zainab Yahaya for sale but converted the proceed to personal use.

The charge reads; "that you Abdulazeez Abubakar sometimes in December, 2011 at Kaduna within the jurisdiction of the High Court of Kaduna State, while being entrusted with a Honda Accord 1998 model valued at N1m (One Million Naira Only) by Zainab Yahaya committed a criminal breach of trust in respect of the said car by selling it and dishonestly converting the sales money to your own use and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 311 and punishable under section 312 of the Penal Code Law".

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Justice Muazu adjourned the case to 14th June, 2013 for hearing of bail application and ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody.
