Magu Warns Youths Against Corruption

The Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has warned Nigerian youths to desist from getting involved in economic and financial crimes, as this will jeopardize their future.

He gave the warning on April 4, 2019 through the Head, EFCC Kaduna Zonal Office, Mailafia Yakubu, during a lecture held at the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Orientation Camp, Kaduna.

He said: “We urge you to be vigilant in carrying out your primary duties and not to allow anyone use you to commit any economic or financial crime, as many like them have fallen victims.

“Once caught, the EFCC will profile the person and put his/her information on the data base which will go viral such that once a name is typed, the person's crime will appear.”

He further encouraged them to be foot soldiers against corruption, and should “stand together with the EFCC to fight corruption because the fight is for the downtrodden and the masses and also for the progress of our nation”.
