The Commandant, EFCC Academy, Ayo Olowonihi has called on investigators in anti-graft agencies in the country to avail themselves of training opportunities for improved performance.
Olowonihi gave the charge April 8, 2013 at the opening of a 3-day training programme on Intelligence Driven Investigation organized by the Commonwealth at the EFCC Academy, Karu, Abuja.
The Commandant said the essence of the programme is to develop expertise along professional lines, break the barriers of individualism and provide room for growth by the participants in their respective organizations.
He admonished the participants to take full advantage of the platform to network, adding that knowledge received and shared has greater benefit.
Mr. Frank Montel, the Legal Adviser from the Commonwealth, explained that the programme aims to improve the investigation and managerial skills of participants especially as it pertains to the management of seized assets. He expressed confidence that at the end of the programme the participants would be better equipped to handle complex investigations
Participants to the course are drawn from the Code of Conduct Bureau, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, among others.
