Loud in Benin; Say No to Vote Buying, Magu Warns

The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  Ibrahim Magu,  has again called on Nigerians especially the electorates to shun vote buying during elections.



The Acting Chairman who was represented by  Williams Oseghale,  Head, Public Affairs Department,  Benin Zonal Office, stated this today, Friday 8, 2019 at a live programme on Speed FM Radio Station, Aduwawa, Benin City.

While educating listeners on the dangers of vote buyjng during elections, the EFCC boss said it was a criminal offence as well as morally wrong for anybody to sell his votes during elections. "

"The electoral act is clear, Twelve months imprisonment or N500,000 fine. So don't get involved because if you are caught, the law we take it cause," he warned.
