“We Must Actualize the Anti-Corruption Mandate of the Federal Government”- EFCC Zonal Head Pleads

The new South East zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  Johnson Ayodeji Babalola has charged staff of the zone to live up to the expectation of the present government and that of millions of Nigerians who wish to see the end of corruption in the country during their life time.

 

He gave the charge on Wednesday, September7,2016 while being welcomed by senior staff of the zone as he took charge at the Independence Layout office of the Commission.

“We have a job to do which we must do professionally in order to meet the expectations of not just the Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, nor the President, but that of our people whose lives have been debased by corruption.

“ As long as you remain disciplined and do your job well,I believe we will not have problems and I am sure God will see us through, ”he stated.

Babalola, was before his present posting, the head of Capital Market and Insurance Fraud Unit at the headquarters in Abuja. He takes over from Obioha Okorie who moves to Kaduna.

Earlier, while welcoming the Zonal Head, the head of Intelligence and Special Operations Unit, Obiora Onwukwe and Head of Public Affairs Department, Chris Oluka in their separate remarks pledge the loyalty and support of staff of the zone.
