Court Jails 25 Internet Fraudsters in Anambra

The Economic and financial Crimes Commission, Enugu Zonal Command, has secured the conviction and sentencing of twenty five, 25, internet fraudsters before Justice Nnamdi Dimkpa of the Federal High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State
They were jailed on Friday, October 13, 2023 after pleading guilty to one –count separate charge bordering on impersonation.
Be Loyal to EFCC, Ekpungu tells New Secretary.

Former Secretary to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Dr. George Ekpungu has charged the newly appointed Secretary, Mr Muhammad Hammajoda, to be loyal to the EFCC and the Executive Chairman.
He gave the charge on Friday, October 20, 2023 while handing over to the new Secretary. According to him, loyalty to the Commission, the Executive Chairman and putting the interests of staff as a priority will assist Hammajoda succeed on the job.
Olukoyede Cautions Students Against Internet Fraud

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyode has called on Nigerian youths to shun internet- related fraud and all forms of economic and financial crimes in the country.
He made the call on Thursday, October 19, 2023 when a delegation of students from People’s Comprehensive Academy visited the corporate headquarters of the Commission, in Jabi, Abuja on a study tour.
EFCC Does not Issue Arrest Warrant on Loan Defaulters

The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to some contrived documents on " Arrest Warrant Processing", " Loan Fraud Escalation" and others, being circulated by some loan companies, purportedly issued by the Commission against loan defaulters.
Authors of such documents are falsely linking their threats against loan defaulters to the Commission. The public is enjoined to be wary of such claims. As a rule, the EFCC does not issue arrest warrant on loan defaulters.
Court Sends 26 Internet Fraudsters to Prison in Benin City

The Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, on Tuesday, October17 and Wednesday October 18, 2023 secured the conviction and sentencing of 26 internet fraudsters before Justice Efe Ikponmwonba of the Edo State High Court, Benin City.
The convicts are Pius Innocent Joel, Dortimi Obiagullu Abariowei, Okocha Nduka, Cloud Godspower Aghogho, Wilson Ifeanyi Nwabor, Ogbemudia Wisdom, Orubure Michelle Cyril, Sunday Victor, Akpevwe Edogheji, Emmanuel Omezi Chiedu, Sambo Doubra, Ogribi George Oworo, Success Oghenekevwe Jerry, Ebuka Ohika Okoli and Nnemeka Joseph Nnajiofor.
