Court Jails Five for Internet Fraud in Ilorin

The Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction and sentencing of five internet fraudsters before Justices Adenike Akinpelu and Mahmoud Abdulgafar of the Kwara State High Court, Ilorin.
The convicts are Oyedepo Olamilekan Benjamin, Suleiman Saheed Olayinka, Fakeye Tolulope Emmanuel , Great Ukueni and Adeshina Joseph Oluwaseun.
The defendants who were prosecuted on different separate count charges before the judges pleaded guilty to their respective charges.

Newly- posted Commandant at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, Group Captain B. Topman has sought greater collaboration with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in tackling the menace of economic and financial crimes at airports across the country.
He made the disclosure in Enugu on Thursday, November 2, 2023 while paying a Courtesy Visit to the Enugu Zonal Command of the EFCC.
Forex Trader, Two Others Jailed for Internet Fraud in Ilorin

The Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction and sentencing of a 26-year-old forex trader, Kolawole Temidayo Joshua and two others for offences bordering on internet fraud.
The two others are Abdullahi Isiak and Daniel Roland Orji. The trio were jailed after pleading guilty to one-count separate charge bordering on internet fraud, consequent on their arraignment before Justice Mahmoud Abdulgafar of the Kwara State High sitting in Ilorin.

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede has called on heads of tertiary institutions across the country, to join hands with the Commission in tackling the rising tide of internet fraud among students of tertiary institutions.
He made this call on Thursday, November 2, 2023 while having an interactive session with Chancellors, Rectors and Provosts of Tertiary Institutions in Kogi State, at the Ilorin Zonal Command Office in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Port Harcourt Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday November 2, 2023, arraigned Morris Gbiki Karinane before Justice P .I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The defendant was arraigned on one -count charge bordering on alleged illegal dealing in petroleum product without a requisite license.
