Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, arrested five suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos.
The suspects are: Tamaraemi Akpoviri, Jonathan Oshioke Okhumode, Jordan O. Clifford, Okorie J. Christian and Enabule Peace Osaro.

The trial of one Bernard Nzenwa , who is being prosecuted on a one-count charge bordering on issuance of false documents before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, continued Wednesday, June, 14, 2023 as the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, further presented two more witnesses, Stephen Fadeyi, an official of the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, and Titi Osuntoki, a former Executive Director with Guaranty Trust Bank, GTB, against him.
The offence is contrary to Section 360(1)(b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.
Fraudster Bags 10 Years Imprisonment in Warri

Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 convicted and sentenced one Otede Pio Meyeoghene to 10 years imprisonment without an option of fine.
Meyeoghene was first arraigned in 2018 by the Benin Zonal Command of the EFCC and later re-arraigned on July 12, 2021. Upon arraignment, the defendant had pleaded not guilty to the three count charge preferred against him by the Commission setting the stage for full trial.
Bawa Charges Youths to Stand up and Fight the Evils of Corruption

Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa has called on students across the country to stand up and fight the evils of corruption in the country.
He made the call in Abuja on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the inauguration of an Integrity Club at Glisten International Academy, Jahi, Abuja. According to him, corruption is a very terrible evil that denies and deprives Nigerians of their comfort, benefits and rights.
EFCC Arrests Impostor in Kano

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested one Mohammed Sani Mohammed, an alleged fraudster who has been posing as a personnel of the Commission and defrauding victims on the pretext that he could help them procure soft-landing regarding their cases with the Commission.
The bubble burst for the scammer when the Commission’s Enugu Command stumbled on intelligence regarding his criminal activities. The Intel was transmitted to the Kano Command which, after weeks of surveillance, arrested the suspect today, June 14, 2023.
