The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has secured the conviction of One Goje Jehu Zason (aka Mark Anthony) and Williams Justice Gankon before Justice A.A Isiaka of the Kaduna State High Court on separate one count charge bordering on internet fraud.
One of the charges reads, "that you, Goje Jehu Zason ( a.k.a Mark Antony ), sometime in June, 2023 in Kaduna within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, did commit an offence to wit, cheating by impersonation wherein you falsely presented yourself as one Mark Anthony ( an Army officer with the United State of America ) via Facebook and Instagram Chat ( an online social media Application) to several unsuspecting victims and benefited a total sum of One Hundred and Five USD and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 57 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law 2017 and punishable under Section 309 of the same Law."
Five Undergraduates Convicted for Internet-related Fraud in Kaduna

The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction of five undergraduates of various tertiary institutions - Chidebere Stanley Opara ( Avail Hollywood), Manasseh Sefa Ephraim ( aka Felicia_dannyels), Victor Odeh ( aka Christopher Anderson), Chukwukere Obinna Paul ( aka Shaun Lee) and Enyogu Etim Ekpo ( aka Henry Wilson; JASDAV7) before Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna State High Court on one count separate charge bordering on internet fraud.
They were all arrested in a sting operation in Kaduna. Investigation revealed how they created fictitious accounts on various social media platforms to defraud unsuspecting victims, mostly foreigners.
EFCC Arraigns Land Agent for Property Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arraigned one Danlami Bala Alafiya before Justice A.A. Isiaka of the Kaduna State High Court on a two count charge bordering on land fraud.
The defendant was arrested following a complaint that he fraudulently convinced the nominal complainant to swap his BMW 750 2008 Model car for 10 plots of land valued at N 3,800, 000 situated at Unguwan Hazo, Rigachikun, Kaduna State. After the swap, the complainant discovered that the land belonged to somebody else. Consequently, he asked for a refund but the defendant offered him another plot of land at Millennium City, Kaduna which also turned out to be fake.
N7.9bn Fraud: Finally, EFCC Arraigns Stella Oduah, Eight Others

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, today, July 21, 2023, arraigned Stella Adaeze Oduah, a former minister of Aviation before Justice I.E. Ekwo of the Federal High Court Maitama, Abuja on a 25-count charge bordering on money laundering. She was docked alongside three others: Gloria Odita, Nwobu Emmanuel Nnamdi and Irene Chukwuma and five companies - Global Offshore And Marine Limited, Tiptop Global Resources Limited, Crystal Television Limited, Sobora International Limited, and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation.
Count one of the charge reads, “that you, Stella Adaeze Oduah whilst being the Minister of Aviation, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Gloria Odita, whilst being the Company Secretary to Sea Petroleum & Gas Company Ltd (SPGC) and an aide to the former Minister of Aviation, Nwobu Emmanuel Nnamdi, whilst being an employee of Sea Petroleum & Gas Company Ltd (SPGC) and an aide to the former Minister of Aviation, Chukwuma Irene Chinyere, Global Offshore And Marine Limited, Tiptop Global Resources Limited, Crystal Television Limited, Sobora International Limited between January 2014 and April 2014 at Abuja within the judicial division of this Honourable Court did conspire among yourselves to commit an offence to wit: ‘Money Laundering’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 18(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act 2011 (As Amended) and punishable under Section 15(3) and (4) of the same Act”.
N450m Fraud: You Have Case to Answer, Court Tell Former Minister, Abdu Bulama, Four Others

Justice Fadima Aminu of the Federal High Court sitting in Damaturu, Yobe State, ordered a former Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Abdul Bulama and four others to enter their defence in the N450 Million fraud charge preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. EFCC.
Ruling on a no-case submission by the defendants, Justice Aminu held that, “based on the testimonies of witnesses and exhibits tendered before the court”, the prosecution had established a prima facie case against the defendant to warrant them to enter their defence.
