EFCC Welcomes LEDAP’s E-learning Facility Donation

The Commandant, EFCC Academy, Commander of EFCC Ayo Olowonihi on Thursday, July 27, 2023 commended the initiative by the Legal Defence and Assistance Project GTE/LTD (LEDAP), a Mac-Arthur Foundation sponsored Project, to provide an e-learning studio, equipment, funding and training for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Olowonihi who spoke when the LEDAP representatives came on a courtesy visit to the EFCC Academy, Karu Abuja, assured that, “we must all put our hands on deck to ensure that this project succeeds. The training will run, the systems will be developed… we will partner with you to ensure that the project will never fail.”

The acting Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Abdulkarim Chukkol has called on Civil Society Organisations to deepen collaboration with the EFCC in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing in the Northeast.
Chikkol stated this on Thursday, July 27, 2023, during a one-day engagement between the Commission and the civil society organisations under the aegis of Network for Civil Society Organisations at Pinnacle Hotel, Maiduguri, Borno State.

The Acting Executive Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulkarim Chukkol has charged law enforcement officers to imbibe the culture of continuous learning to improve their skills.
Chukkol gave the charge July 25, through the Commandant, EFCC Academy, Ayo Olowonihi while addressing participants in a 3-day training programme jointly organized by the Commission and the Nigeria Internet Registration Association, NIRA.

Justice M. Itsueli of Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State on Thursday, July 27, 2023, convicted and sentenced Kelvin Ifeanyi Aneke and Leonard Emmanuel Osaretin to prison for fraud.
They were arraigned on separate one count charges of unlawful possession of fraudulent documents by the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
EFCC Launches Zero Tolerance Club at UniCross, Charges Students to Shun Corruption

In furtherance of its prevention mandate and programme to sensitize Nigerian students on the negative effects of financial crimes, including corruption, the Acting Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulkarim Chukkol today, July 27, charged students of the University of Cross River State-UniCross, to shun corruption, stressing that no progress can be made in any system where corruption holds sway.
Chukkol who spoke through ACE Bawa Hamidu Saidu, Commander, Uyo Zonal Command, during the launch of the EFCC Zero Tolerance Club at the University’s Multipurpose Hall, noted that corruption is responsible for the country’s development woes, and emphasized the need for committed action against the malaise.
