Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, November 13, 2023 arrested five suspects at a residential Inn and Disney Chicken Eatery, Barnawa, Kaduna following credible intelligence about their alleged internet- related fraud activities.
The suspected fraudsters: Favour Itung, Rachael Ande, Zuleiman Haruna, Abubakar Ismaila and Solomon Olobatoke, were arrested without incident.
Corruption Fighters Must be Ahead of Fraudsters- Olukoyede

Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Ola Olukoyede has called on corruption fighters across the country to always strive to be ahead of fraudsters in intelligence, focus, thinking and strategies in order to tackle the menace of economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption.
He gave the charge on Thursday, November 16, 2023 in Abuja, while receiving representatives of the The Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption, RoLAC that paid him a courtesy visit at the corporate headquarters of the EFCC, in Jabi, Abuja. Olukoyede explained that fraudulent schemes and fraudsters across the world have become dynamic, especially with the advances in technology and to tackle them, corruption fighters must be more dynamic and resourceful. “ You must be ahead of the corrupt in every way. The world has gone digital and dynamic. So, corruption fighters should hone their skills at all times and not rest on their oars”, he said.

The Nigeria Customs Service has commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for continuously sustaining collaborative ties with various stakeholders in the anti- corruption fight.
This commendation was given on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in Kaduna by Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, ACG I.Q Ogbudu who led a team of senior officers in the Customs Zone B Headquarters on a courtesy visit to the Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC.

A video, code-named: “EFCC and Army Wahala” gaining traction across the social media, once again, compels the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to reiterate its warning to skit makers and other social workers to desist from using the operational identities of the Commission illegally and irresponsibly.
“EFCC and Army Wahala” is a caricature of the operational etiquette of the EFCC. The shameful characterization of supposed operatives of the Commission in the video unleashing terror on “suspects”, is not only embarrassing but indicative of deliberate attempt to cast shadows on the image of the EFCC.
