The Acting Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulkarim Chukkol, has charged Nigerian youths to shun criminality and be agents of change in the fight against financial and economic crimes, including corruption in Nigeria.
Chukkol who was represented by the Maiduguri Zonal Commander of the Commission, , ACE I Oshodi Johnson stated this today, August 31, 2023 in a message to corps members at Mustapha Umar Arabic College, NYSC Orientation Camp, Maiduguri, Borno State.

The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has secured the conviction of Felix Chidiebere Gabriel, Hayble Wisdom, Joseph Yusuf, Amos Emmanuel, Solomon Haruna, Joshua Peter Bello and Abraham Adewale Ajoboh before Justice N.U Sadiq of the Kaduna state High Court on separate one count charges bordering on cybercrime and cheating by impersonation.
While six of the convicts, met their Waterloo when operatives of the Command raided their hideouts at Narayi and Barnawa in Kaduna metropolis, following intelligence on their alleged internet-based fraudulent activities where they assumed the identities of foreigners in luring unsuspecting victims to part with monies in foreign currencies.

The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, AbdulKarim Chukkol has urged the media to beam it's searchlight on rising cases of internet and Cybercrimes which has become a menace to the socio economic activities of Kaduna State.
He gave the charge on Wednesday August 30th, 2023 through ACE I Aisha Abubakar, Acting Zonal Commander, Kaduna Zonal Command during a one day sensitization programme tagged "Workshop on Economic and Financial Crimes Reporting for Journalists".
INEC Commissioner Seeks More Collaboration With EFCC in Makurdi

The Independent National Electoral Commission of Nigeria’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in charge of Benue State, Prof. Samuel Egwu has called for more collaboration with the Makurdi Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in tackling election-based fraudulent practices.
Egwu made the appeal on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 during a courtesy visit to the Makurdi Zonal Commander, Friday Ebelo, in his office.

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, South South Zone B, have asked for closer collaboration and partnership with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in the fight against financial crimes across institutions in its area of coverage.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Commander of the EFCC Zonal Command in Port Harcourt, Assistant Commander of EFCC, ACE Ahmed Ghali on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, Comrade Sam Levi Okuru, NANS’ Coordinator in the zone, said they were in the Commission to familiarise themselves with its activities and explore ways of collaborating to fight criminality within the campuses of tertiary institutions in the zone.
