Court Sends 15 Internet Fraudsters to Jail in Benin

Justice M. Itsueli of Edo State High Court Sitting in Benin-City has convicted and sentenced 15( fifteen) fraudsters to jail for internet fraud and obtaining under false pretences.
The convicts are: Seth Chukwumah, Hart James Okoh, Berta Aghogho Akpoveta, Obinna Okoh Patrick, Ugwoke Chinecherem Johnson and Akpovona -Momoh Malcolm Oghenekome.
Others are: Frank Efe Okeoghene, Okpidi Oghenerukevwe and Prince Tamunotonye Obinna, Jeffrey Nwose, Louis Victory Emuerhime , Isoso Precious , Tsebi Princewill, Dafinone Osuma and Oyinkepreye Anderson.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, On Wednesday, September 13, 2023 charged citizens to report electronic fraud cases to the Commission for investigation.
Chief Superintendent of EFCC, Idoko Stephen Etube, Head of Cybercrime Section at the Enugu Zonal Command of the Commission, stated this in a sensitization message to participants at the Nigerian Commutations Commission- organized awareness even at Abakaliki International Market, Ebonyi State, tagged “shine your eyes no fall mugu.”
Anti-graft War: FIDA Assures EFCC of Collaboration

The International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA, Kaduna Branch, have assured the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC of its support in the fight against corruption and other economic and financial crimes.
Aisha Abdu Muhammad, Chairperson FIDA, Kaduna, gave the assurance when she led officials of the association on a courtesy visit to Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC. She noted that the activities of the Commission over years have helped in improving public consciousness on the activities of fraudsters.

The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has secured the conviction of Miracle Osag (a.k.a Cynthiaray), Joshua Omotayo ( a.k.a Christopher Wittland), Victory James ( a.k.a Michael Lan Rosales), Yunus Abdulwasiu ( a.k.a Gloria Mathew) and Anita Yusuf before Justice N.U Sadiq of the Kaduna State High Court sitting in Kaduna for offences bordering on internet fraud and obstruction.
They were arrested at different locations in Kaduna based on intelligence indicating that they defrauded unsuspecting victims of their hard-earned money.
Court Convicts Two for N44m Fraud in Maiduguri

The Maiduguri Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, 12 September, 2023, secured the conviction and sentencing of one Bukar Muhammad before Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court Maiduguri to one-year imprisonment.
The defendant was first arraigned on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, on a one-count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence and later re-arraigned on an amended charge for the offence of criminal breach of trust to the tune of N43,328,000.00(Forty-Three Million, Three Hundred and Twenty-Eight Thousand Naira).
