The Nigeria Association of Computing Students, NACOS, has conferred an Award of Excellence on the Acting Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Abdulkarim Chukkol.
The Award was conferred on the Chairman on Friday, October 6, 2023, when a delegation led by NACOS’ National President, Chihurumnanya Nwanevu, paid a Courtesy Visit to the Corporate Headquarters of the Commission, in Jabi, Abuja.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on October 4, 2023, secured the conviction and sentencing of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Orio Business Connect Limited, Alhaji kabiru Haruna before Justice H. Mu’azu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama, Abuja.
The convict was first arraigned by the EFCC on December 14, 2021 on eight- count charges bordering on obtaining by false pretense to the tune of Thirty Three Million Seven Hundred and Five Thousand Naira (N33,705,000).

The Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned one Chris Okafor before Justice O. Eyah of Enugu State High Court, on four- count charges bordering on stealing and obtaining money by false pretences to the tune of Sixty-Four Million, Eight Hundred and Ninety Thousand Naira (N64, 890,000).
He was arraigned on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, based on claims of a petitioner linking him with an alleged fraudulent property transaction.

Operatives of the Lagos Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 arrested two suspected internet fraudsters at House F10, Victoria Crest 4, Lekki, Lagos.
The suspects: Udemba Chukwuemeka( a.k.a Jody) and Jamal Jamiu Onasola( a.k.a. Jamal) were arrested at the residence of a musician: John Njeng Njeng( a.k.a skales).

Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested six suspected internet fraudsters along Calabar-Itu road in Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The suspects are; Udenze Benjamin, Godwin Atike, Emmanuel Francis, Adebe Oluwademilade, Anietie Brownson and Sabastin Obioma.
